Edelweisse Posted July 18, 2021 Share #1 Posted July 18, 2021 Hi Folks: I found this in the Metz France flea market in the bottom of a box. Since I used to work around TACOM LARs who were small arms & crew served experts…I recognized this. I don’t know the time period of this gauge…does anyone know? Edelweisse Posted July 28, 2021 Author Share #2 Posted July 28, 2021 Any help on identifying the timeframe of this gauge….1940s, 50s, 60s?…. Thank you
TheCrustyBosun Posted August 26, 2021 Share #3 Posted August 26, 2021 I have one as well, though I believe mine is older. I was told mine was WWII vintage.

TheCrustyBosun Posted August 26, 2021 Share #5 Posted August 26, 2021 Yeah. If I had to guess, I’d place yours in the 60’s. That’s a guess, mind you.
Rhscott Posted August 31, 2021 Share #6 Posted August 31, 2021 Look just like the ones being used in 2012 to me. I guess as long as it was within spec a WW2 one was still serviceable for issue till the M2A1 got fielded.

The headspace tool is wider. Obviously the side without the lettering.
