50 cal & 30. cal Headspace and Timing Gauge

Hi Folks:  I found this in the Metz France flea market in the bottom of a box.  Since I used to work around TACOM LARs who were small arms &  crew served experts…I recognized this.   I don’t know the time period of this gauge…does anyone know?  Thank you

Look just like the ones being used in 2012 to me. I guess as long as it was within spec a WW2 one was still serviceable for issue till the M2A1 got fielded.

The modern gauges (at least the ones I used in OIF) were indeed different. The headspace tool is wider. Obviously the side without the lettering.
