Lucky 7th Armored

Got this baby in the mail about two days ago from EBAY...

First WWII shovel i have owned, and i am very please.

I will post some ebay pics and some photos i took, because i have it attached to my m1928 haversack and it is a pain to get it in and out of there!

Paint on the wood handle is almost all gone, but it has that worn battle look, which i like.

Price=$32.00<----That's including shipping.

Tell me what y'all think!

Nice, honest piece of field gear. IMHO it is in about average condition for an entrenching tool, the case is a bit worn.

Happy hunting,

Henry

Mine was made in the U.S. during WW2, yours might be a repro or just a shovel from korea.

And thanks Henry, i like the worn look, gives it character.

Thanks,

Haydn

sometimes you can find them at swap meets for around $10 in well used condition

I found one made by AMES 1944 with a Korean war dated cover for $14 in the antique mall

I also found an AMES 1944 without cover for $8 I believe at the local resale shop.
