doughboy Posted July 14, 2021 Share #1 Posted July 14, 2021 Hi altogether, I always assumed that the USMC Alpha uniform and also the Vandegrift jacket of ww2 and the korean war era was worn with a khaki shirt. I found a picture in the web where this uniform is combined with a forest green shirt. Can someone of you tell me please, when was this shirt worn instead of the khaki shirt.Thank you in advance for your help.
Dave T Posted July 15, 2021 Share #2 Posted July 15, 2021 Early 1950s. USMC forest green flannel. I say early 50s because the examples i have seen are marked/dated as such. There is also a thread on this site regarding the USMC Forest Green Flannels.
