manayunkman Posted July 12, 2021 Share #1 Posted July 12, 2021 I managed to acquire this wonderful busby recently and thought that it deserved mentioning. The emblazoned A and deep golden yellow bag with cord and knots make this a very attractive piece. Its not named but is attributed to Hillary H. Quarmby. The Squadron A armory, where these men played polo every Saturday followed by a black tie dinner and had tea every Sunday afternoon, is on Madison Avenue taking the whole block between 94 & 95th streets. When I first moved to the USA we lived on 97th street and I remember the armory well. So I’m semimental, I mean sentimental about it. Ill take some better pictures later but for now I hope you all enjoy.
