WW2 158th Infantry “Bushmaster” grouping - Arizona cowboy!

I drove to Prescott, AZ yesterday to pick this little grouping up. Named to SGT William Miller. Nice insignia; screwback enlisted disks with”158”, pin back DIs. Bronze Star and GCM are named, others medals are not. I’m always happy to find a Bushmaster group as they are getting harder to come by. What really makes this set is that William enlisted in Douglas, AZ, and the civilian occupation listed on his discharge papers is “Cow Puncher”. You can’t get more Arizona than that!

As an Arizona-boy, I am very happy to see this grouping. I am up in Paige at the moment. Passed through Prescott 3 days ago. Amazing how timing works out. Wonderful group [emoji1320]

Very nice group with a fantastic array of insignia, named medals and cow punching.

Any information on the PH?

The 158th landed on Luzon on 11 Jan, 1945 and attacked towards Rabon. They suffered heavy casualties attacking entrenched Japanese positions along the road between Rosario and Demortes. They finally occupied Demortes on the 17th.
