Boy Howdy Posted July 9, 2021 Share #1 Posted July 9, 2021 It is painted onto a cigarette case. I'm guessing EAM are someones initials? Thank you all in advance.

TBMflyer Posted July 9, 2021 Share #4 Posted July 9, 2021 The 42nd Bomb Group used that insignia in WWII. Hope this helps, Mark

Boy Howdy Posted July 26, 2021 Author Share #6 Posted July 26, 2021 Yep. 42nd Bombardment Squadron. Now all I have to do is find a roster and ID EAM. LOL Thanks to all.
digi-shots Posted July 26, 2021 Share #7 Posted July 26, 2021 Sometimes initials or monograms can be interpreted two ways … EAM might look like the last name starts with the letter M…. or the last name might actually start with the middle letter A (especially when the initials have a decorative look to them, like shown on this cigarette case or one of the letters appears larger than the rest). Boy Howdy Posted July 26, 2021 Author Share #11 Posted July 26, 2021 I checked the only roster I could find but it was from 1940-41. No luck. Soooo....if anyone has a wartime roster please see if there is an EMA listed. 😊
