1st Army Patch

Looking for opinions on this patch it was in a misc bag of patches from a garage sale. Haven’t been able to find another example with the stitched in bursting bomb.

Regarding the ordinance emblem, have you considered it a uniform cutoff? If you look closely on the right edge, one can kind of see scissor hang ups (not sure if that’s the correct term). Is the backing material wool?

It is on a piece of wool and does not glow under UV light It just looks too new to me, I was hoping someone else had seen a similar example, to compare it too.  I don’t know a ton about sewing,  it just looks very modern.

I think it could be a nice WW1 era patch. A
Google search found a similar one
