I've been looking all over the place for more information about this Type D altimeter. I have found many examples of the Type B and (seemingly most common) Type C but I can't find anything at all about this one. If anyone knows anything please let me know.

Flightpath

The only thing I know s that it´s unusual to see one in a leather case so the type ´D´ might have been used on the airfield and not mounted in an aircraft, just a guess. Also the type ´C´is graduated to 25,000 feet, the type ´D´is graduated to 30,000ft.

cheers, John
