Len S Posted July 6, 2021 Share #1 Posted July 6, 2021 I recently acquired this holster with an interesting inked inscription inside the lid. It reads “Elbe River Campaign May 1945” followed by “Edwin B. Murray Durham N.C.”. There’s a couple of indecipherable lines in between which I believe were inked by the previous German owner. The only word I could make out is “Uhlia” which is a village in Ukraine. I tried looking up Edwin B. Murray on the NARA site but didn’t find Edwin B. Or any other Edwin Murray from N.C. Is there another site I can check to find old Edwin?
USCapturephotos Posted July 6, 2021 Share #2 Posted July 6, 2021 Good luck with finding “Old Edwin”. Love this piece however. Paul
