Buffalo Grunt Posted July 5, 2021 #1 Posted July 5, 2021 I thought that I would list some of the 17th Infantry Insignia that I have, as I know that there are folks out there who know a lot more about this insignia than I do. Most of these insignia I believe are from the late 1800's through 1905. atb Posted July 5, 2021 #17 Posted July 5, 2021 If the insignia has (or had on some of them) a screw post on the reverse, they are for dress blue caps if bright. The darkened ones with screw posts are for wool olive drab or cotton khaki service caps.
