manayunkman Posted July 5, 2021 Share #2 Posted July 5, 2021 Anywhere near Adamstown more southeast but a Mecca for old stuff. There are miles of antique places as well as a few great Sunday flea markets. One of the forum mods has a booth at Renningers as well as many other dealers, pickers and folks just selling grandma’s antiques. They don’t sell newer items like most flea markets or swap meets. This area is the only thing like it in the USA. Ive gone to, set up at and researched flea markets all over the country and nothing compares to Adamstown not even close. If you can make the hour or 2 drive you will be glad you did but get there early if you want the good stuff at a reasonable price.

daskrieg Posted July 5, 2021 Share #5 Posted July 5, 2021 Renningers in Adamstown. I only live 40 minutes from there. Also west of there in Kutztown(noble rd) is a second Renningers location. Go there early (10am) and go in the building back by the outside pavilion go down the left hall and see Danny and Chris. Two separate dealers but they get some good things in for decent prices. manayunkman Posted July 5, 2021 Share #6 Posted July 5, 2021 Kutztown is near Allentown where one of the best militaria shows is behind SOS or MAX. When i say early im talking before 5am. That’s when all the pickers and families bring their new items in. They set up outside at Renningers, Black Angus and Shoops Grove. In the Summer Renningers outside is a good place to start before 5am. Then Black Angus and Shoops in that order. All 3 have outdoor dealers, pickers and who ever setting up in the morning darkness. Outside sellers are usually all in by 6am or so then there are the inside sellers at Renningers and Black Angus who open at 8 but double check that. Since it’s your first time you might focus on just one place. Black Angus is more high end inside dealers and Renningers is more dingy but a great place to buy. Both are, I got some great things out if those markets including an over the top 17th AB group from Mr Humphreyville who earned a SS in the Battle of the Bulge.
