Fox777 Posted July 4, 2021 Share #1 Posted July 4, 2021 This one is new in my collection. I think it might be in use at nurnberg trials. Can anyone help me with info on this one? It is named but i guess after the war.
anton67 Posted July 4, 2021 Share #2 Posted July 4, 2021 The RA prefix to the ASN would have been post WWII.
ArchangelDM Posted July 4, 2021 Share #3 Posted July 4, 2021 Also it’s written in marker pen post WW2, the paint is a dead give away for Korean War era.

Simon Lerenfort Posted July 5, 2021 Share #6 Posted July 5, 2021 The dark green paint looks more Korean era for me too. Nice find.
Fox777 Posted July 5, 2021 Author Share #7 Posted July 5, 2021 The helmet has indeed been painted over several times. The decals were hidden, so I suspect they were used after WW2. The name on the inside was probably also added later. If someone can help me find out which division Emerson G Lewis served in, I'm already well on my way :) By the way, I found the exact same helmet in pictures with the same decals on soldiers of the division at the Nurnberg trials . the fact that the helmet shines is my fault. That effect will go away again. :)
