normaninvasion Posted July 2, 2021 Share #4 Posted July 2, 2021 Thanks for the info! Tim could you school me on 11a? If I remember correctly its a 1950s variation? I've always liked the detail of this one, reminds me of earlier emblems.
Brig Posted July 2, 2021 Share #5 Posted July 2, 2021 I'm a believer that it is an interwar emblem of the late 40s. This stems from often finding longer posts on it that we often find on econo-lead emblems. My guess is they depleted old hardware stock from the leads before switching back to the shorter posts that didn't risk lobotomizing the wearer if they bumped their head. I have never seen a cover emblem marked, however I have see the collars marked H&H.

Bob Hudson Posted July 3, 2021 Share #8 Posted July 3, 2021 The ones with the dots on one anchor flute are "modern era" which means they could still be over 60 years old.
normaninvasion Posted July 3, 2021 Share #9 Posted July 3, 2021 Bannerman company had original dies which reproduced obsolete insignias, from the little I know as I never dived into pre WW1 stuff. Lots of good disscusion in the EGA archives on the Forum,

Some people try to sell these as "unfinished originals", but they're not
