Salvage Sailor Posted June 27, 2021 Share #1 Posted June 27, 2021 Aloha Everyone, This patch was inside of a late 1950's - early 1960's FOUO US Navy envelope, unaddressed, with no markings. The only other contents of the envelope were a torn paper U.S. NAVY OFFICIAL VEHICLE placard and a dirty Gemsco Gunner's Mate First Class crow (GM1) for whites. No notes, no dates, no names, no real clues at all. Large, USA made and very well constructed - Anyone recognize this one? It does not have the look nor 'feel' of a Gemsco or Sembler patch/emblem, but I'd say it's US made. Although it came with together with three USN items, it could be civilian. There ya go..... Salvage Sailor Posted June 27, 2021 Author Share #3 Posted June 27, 2021 Thank Gil, I've been surprised countless times on this forum by patches I was fairly certain were civilian, yet turned out to be military. (and vice versa too!) Any other swags or astute opinions on this one?
Salvage Sailor Posted July 2, 2021 Author Share #4 Posted July 2, 2021 BTW, this is the Gemsco/Sembler chenille Indian Warrior, not at all the same. Anyone familiar with the Indian Warrior that I posted?
