This WW1 gas mask just sold on eBay....I was going to bid, but believe it to be a reproduction...Thoughts?....Bodes

I don't think I've ever seen a WW I mask that still had clear eye lenses, most are fogged/delaminated and otherwise well aged.

The filter can on these is usually yellow.  It does look  in brand new condition.

Thanks Brian and Steve....It sold for $73 minus the shipping fees....I would say another red flag...I believe black painted cannisters were for training purposes and had no protective qualities whatsoever....Bodes

It's a British mask so the canister color "rules" don't apply.  That being said, for sure a reproduction.
