Odd heat stamp

Going through some helmet sets today and I found a Vietnam USMC helmet set that I've had for about 9 years. I lifted the cover in the front section for the first time to log the heat stamp, I thought it was going to be another 50s McCord, it's actually a front seam stamped "926P"

Any of the heat stamp experts have any opinions on the stamp?

Mid to late war McCord? Built as a swivel bail and before the seam was moved to the rear. Mid-1944 would be my guess.

Would love to see a McCord lift P stamp, one of the few I have never see. See A-O and Q, R, T, V and W. Missing P, S, U, X, Y, Z. So if you can post images it would really great.
