Blue spaders

Hello guys,

 

I would like to show you a new helmet of mine.

Its a 1st div M1 helmet from the 26th infantry regiment "Blue spaders".

The was painted over, with the name of Lewis G. Emerson 11131377.

The helmet is a FS/SB with number 958F. 

Paint over the decals were removed by previous owner.

 

Any information about the name and period of use, are very welcome.

With that RA Prefixed Serial Number, meaning a member of the Regular Army, an Enlistee, then a post war Occupation worn helmet, Germany, late 40s into the 50s.
