rathbonemuseum.com Posted June 7, 2021 Share #1 Posted June 7, 2021 The official US Navy aviation training program known as V-5 did not have a lot of insignia attached to it from what i have seen. The small shield patch that goes on the side cap or the small shield pin that could also be worn. There is the winged shield device which seems to be simply a sweetheart device widely found. Even if guys were in the V-5 program, they could be wearing other CPT insignia or even ROTC insignia since they were trained at a mix of college campuses and private contract schools. So it is interesting when I found lately some V-5 patches that were seemed one of a kind. Anyone else seen ones like these? Or other unique ones you can add to the thread?
