Collector .45 Posted June 6, 2021 Share #1 Posted June 6, 2021 I recently acquired this NS Meyer 3" Command Pilot Wing. Wing badges are a little out of my area of expertise so I am looking for a few opinions on this badge. The wing measures a good three inches and the pin-back catch opens to forty five degrees or so. It's features seem consistent with wings from the 1940's to me however having read that a great deal of wings are faked, I am not completely sure on this set. Thanks - Henry

pfrost Posted June 6, 2021 Share #3 Posted June 6, 2021 Those are nice vintage ww2 wings. Not a thing wrong there!

5thwingmarty Posted June 6, 2021 Share #5 Posted June 6, 2021 I don't see a sterling mark so possibly a plated brass wing. A very nice vintage wing.

bschwartz Posted June 7, 2021 Share #8 Posted June 7, 2021 I have one like that but mine has an open C catch not the roller catch like yours. I've always liked these early pattern Meyer wings. Nice, solid wing. Congrats.
