William Franklin Sloan Junior. Olney, I’ll. 3rd Parachute battalion, 1/28 Marines wounded Iwo Jima, March 19, 1945. May have been wounded by friendly mortar fire at the lip of the gorge. Does anyone have any other info on him or photos from 5th Marine division Association? Not sure where Valley studio is located but maybe this was taken at Camp Gillespie, CA?

Nice little group Chris. The back of the photo says El Cajon which is where Camp Gillespie was located.
