Acquired this at an auction, best I can determine this is 1950s vintage Flak Vest for flight crews. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Any additional information would be helpful.

Thanks

See this Forum thread: https://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/349836-t64-t65-body-armor/

Derived from flier's armored vests, these were first made late in WW2 for the infantry and saw combat in the Korean War. The armor plates were aluminum. A simple Google search will provide plenty more detailed information.

Thanks for the information. I did a quick search for it, but kept coming up with M2/M3 vest. I'll look again with the information you have given me.

Thanks again.
