billl Posted June 3, 2021 Share #1 Posted June 3, 2021 Just purchased a Red Cross map of Paris dated 1944, showing sites suitable for GIs. All in English, of course. But they were apparently short of paper. On the back is part of a map of NE Ireland and the Irish sea, all in German. Apparently the Red Cross was having trouble finding paper, so they grabbed what was available, and it turned out to be something printed for or by the Germans. The German side shows from Annalong to Newcastle to Killough. Remembering that Ireland was neutral during the war, ain't that fun?
