BigJohn#3RD Posted June 1, 2021 Share #6 Posted June 1, 2021 Platoon Sergeant is correct. If you look closely at the first picture with his wife after receiving a Bronze Star Medal; On the bottom row of ribbons there is an Expeditionary Medal Ribbon after the Korean War Campaign ribbon. In the next photo where he is awarded an Army Commendation Medal is is wearing the Vietnam Campaign medal ribbon. At the time of his death, he was assigned to the Infantry Training Brigade at FT Benning (School for Wayward Boys). I am surprised that Korea is on his tomb stone and Vietnam is not included. A great grouping to a warrior who died too early in his life. Thanks for posting. John
