WWIIBuff1945 Posted May 25, 2021 Share #1 Posted May 25, 2021 Just picked this up off GB. Private William George Hartner was born on July 12, 1917 in Newark New Jersey. He enlisted in the Army on August 9, 1944 and was discharged on July 4, 1946. He served in a Field Artillery Branch of the U.S. Army. He added sweetheart grips and had the gun nickle plated along with having his named engraved on the frame. Much thanks to Matt for the information on William!
