SARGE Posted May 23, 2021 Share #1 Posted May 23, 2021 Gents, I picked up a nice USN 1920s Naval Officer grouping that I thought I would show. The range of uniforms is very complete for this WWI veteran who attended the Naval Academy in the 1920s. Interestingly, the owner served as an Army Private during WWI and became a Naval Officer after the war. The grouping consists of four uniforms including his Annapolis Midshipman jacket, Midshipman Lt. Undress Service Coat, Evening Dress tailcoat, and Full Dress frock coat. His cocked hat is contained in his black tin case for hat, belt, shoulder boards, etc. All items are named to the owner and there are some photographs from circa 1923 showing him wearing the uniforms. This fellow became a Naval Constructor and served building wharves and docks.
