shadawg Posted May 19, 2021 Share #2 Posted May 19, 2021 i always hated those. we actually replaced ours with the LWMCH. we ended up getting rid of all those. they are kinda defective anyway. the glue that holds the foam liner in the shell was breaking away on half of them
MattS Posted May 19, 2021 Author Share #3 Posted May 19, 2021 The foam behind the front and rear pads is breaking down and crumbling on mine as well.

I’m surprised the foam doughnut in your pasgt hasn’t broken down mine fell a part.
thorin6 Posted May 20, 2021 Share #5 Posted May 20, 2021 The foam pad on my PASGT (put it in there in 1987, it went through Desert Storm) is still there, but I'd be afraid to touch it.
MattS Posted September 25, 2021 Author Share #6 Posted September 25, 2021 The foam donut in the desert PASGT was a more recent replacement for the crumbling original, I replaced it with a NOS one from a surplus store. My PASGT has the original 30 year-old donut in it and it’s not going to survive much longer.
