Airbornewingz Posted May 19, 2021 Share #1 Posted May 19, 2021 I got these two US army bolt pouches. I am not sure where these where held during ww2. I have a feeling it was in a haversack but could be wrong. Please tell me where the soldiers would put these pouches. Thank you.
M1Garandy Posted May 19, 2021 Share #2 Posted May 19, 2021 If memory serves, I believe they held bolts for .30 caliber Browning machine guns.

Yes this is for a machine gun, but do you know where would they keep these pouches in? Like in a haversack or something?
M1Garandy Posted May 19, 2021 Share #4 Posted May 19, 2021 Sorry, I misread your OP. I thought you asked what was held not where they were held.

M1Garandy Posted May 19, 2021 Share #6 Posted May 19, 2021 No I do not. I'd guess it would all depend on what pack or bag the MG crew member in change of carrying a bolt/spare bolt was utilizing at the time they were handling their gun, but that's just a guess.
