The cut back was introduced and used late war. Both styles are correct. Your correct, I got confused with the nomenclature. When the cutback fuze was starting to be used, they used surplus MK1 bodies. But according to sources, once they put the cutback fuze on the MK1 bodies the new nomenclature of MK2 was used.
