Ernst Posted May 15, 2021 Share #1 Posted May 15, 2021 Found this dog tag a while ago. Belonged to a member of the 2nd rangers battalion who was killed in action 7th December 1944 while taking hill 400 near Bergstein Germany. https://www.specialforcesroh.com/index.php?threads/troutt-jack-donald.15118/

Simon Lerenfort Posted May 18, 2021 Share #3 Posted May 18, 2021 I don't think these are all from Hurtgen forest, I see another KIA tag. Pvt. Philip T. Robblee, Jr. was assigned as a Light Mortar Crewman in Troop A, 87th Cavalry Reconnassance Squadron (Mechanized), 7th Armoured Division. He died near St. Vith, Liege, Belgium on 21st December 1944.
