bschwartz Posted May 14, 2021 Share #3 Posted May 14, 2021 This is a blow. Terry was a great guy. Always willing to help and very humble with his knowledge. I wasn't fortunate enough to have met him in person but had a lot of mail and e-mail correspondences with him. So sad to hear this news.
LtDan Posted May 15, 2021 Share #4 Posted May 15, 2021 Certainly a great loss for many people, and especially the members of this forum. Terry was a highly decorated soldier and Army aviator of the Vietnam War. He was also author of "United States Army Air Service Wing Badges - Uniforms and Insignia 1913-1918". I too am sorry I did not meet him in person, but I did have email correspondence with him on several occasions. He was always willing to share his expertise regarding a WW1 wing I was considering or provide other insight into the "Wing collecting" hobby I had recently acquired. After our first few email exchanges he generously sent me a copy of his book and also recommended other reference books I should have. I will always appreciate the time he took to help a new collector. May he rest in peace.
