Edoguy1305 Posted May 13, 2021 Share #1 Posted May 13, 2021 Hi all, Picked up this strange MkII the other day for a steal from a little antique store. My best guess is that it was used in "wargames" by the USMC as a "friendly" helmet, hence the reflective triangles and the giant EGA sticker on the front (included closeups of both). I would guess that it was used for this 60s, judging on the details of the stickers and the color of outside paint, which is much lighter than the WWII era navy blue that can still be seen on the inside. I have seen Vietnam navy helmets with a similar, more light-grey shade for their helmets. The triangles apear to be hand-cut, and the seal may have also been cut from a larger sheet (has red around some of the edges). There also looks to be some writting on the inner-left skirt, but it is illegiable. Has anyone else seen something like this before, or have any thoughts? Thanks!
