I know he was a B-29 pilot, dead with his crew in a crash in training. If you have another informations, and maybe a picture, i´ll take it Thank you ! ragpick Posted May 11, 2021 Share #4 Posted May 11, 2021 Lt. Ingold was killed on a training mission out of Salinas Army Air Field on 7-7-44 when the plane developed trouble in #1 engine. Was flying at 200' to 300' and failed to gain altitude crashing near the town of Lorraine, Kansas at 1955 hrs. central time. 6 crew killed, 5 injured.
