Hi,

this is my new gift ;)

Pilot wings of Lieutenant Ralph L. Ingold.
Silver, boxed, with writing of the name !
I know he was a B-29 pilot, dead with his crew in a crash in training. 
If you have another informations, and maybe a picture, i´ll take it

Very nice wing and nice tribute.  You may be able to find some information about the crash in the national archives.  Was he stateside or overseas.  RIP Lt Ingold

Lt. Ingold was killed on a training mission out of Salinas  Army Air Field on 7-7-44 when the plane developed trouble in  #1 engine. Was flying at 200' to 300' and failed to gain altitude crashing near the town of Lorraine, Kansas at 1955 hrs. central time. 6 crew killed, 5 injured.
