This was a totally avoidable mistake that happened I didn’t plan for this to happen I got to eager and well I messed up I feel bad about it. I got to agreesive with the sandpaper while trying to remove the paint and someday it will cost me. How shall I fix it should I put a coat of paint over it.

I would leave it alone. Anyone who cares about the maker will likely know how to tell who it is without us removing paint.

I didn’t actually remove too much of the marking I just scraped the paint near that spot and wha la I uncovered Ames 1944 there wasn’t much of the mark that you could see besides the s the last 4 is unfortunately hard to see I won’t make this mistake again I feel so much better now. Those are the best pics I can get.
