labelkills254 Posted May 6, 2021 Share #1 Posted May 6, 2021 Here is the footlocker grouping of 1LT Frederick Keller. He was a USN trained Pilot and then transferred to the USMC as a reconnaissance pilot with 4th MAW, VMD-354. He flew missions from Guam and Peleliu layer in the war providing valuable intelligence to numerous operations. The grouping is incredibly complete and I doubt that LT Keller threw anything away. Some highlights include his flight suit, helmet, goggles, a-14 respirator, backpad survival kit, field gear, navigation panel from his plane, maps, captured bayo and tons of paperwork and flight logs. The entirety of his flight training notebooks are complete. One cool, personal item is his USMC aviator ring which can clearly be seen in wartime photos. labelkills254 Posted May 6, 2021 Author Share #9 Posted May 6, 2021 Timberwolf, I cant wait to see how you display it and what research you conduct. I just couldnt miss my opportunity to post since it took a lot of effort and over a year of coordination to purchase this from the family and pull it out of the garage rafters!
