Kleinau, The NARA is empty, same thing on WW2memorial. It's Captain CARL SAMUEL KLEINAU, officer in Signal Corps i guess. But i have fews informations. Per the newspaper article regarding the LOM, it did say that "Because of being highly confidential, little could be learned of his work during his army career." I don't know whether his file would be classified or not but I think NARA is still shut down due to Covid but I could be wrong. This may give you a hint of the type of work he may've been doing. It appears like he had something to do with bomb guidance devices and guided missile systems which I'm sure would've been highly confidential at the time.
