I bought this with some Span Am medals and WWI 23rd Engineers stuff. Any opinions on this? It’s not American, but could it be German or French? The ball itself is made of wood. The spikes are metal. It definitely had age.

It might be Austrian. Found a few examples on line with the same type of metal spikes. Both are listed as Austria- Hungarian maces
