Airborne-Hunter Posted May 1, 2021 Share #1 Posted May 1, 2021 A picker that I've bought a lot from in the past recently turned this up. It was brought back by Richard C. Bingham, Company A, 2nd Medical Battalion, 2nd Marine Division. I'm not sure what to make of the kanji; it looks rather sloppy and makes me wonder if it was done by an American selling souvenirs, especially considering the writing on the meatball. Regardless, there are 35 or so Americans on the flag. 30 or so are legible. I ran all the names and came up with several hits, but it appears they have all passed. Most of the obituaries seem to specify they were in the Navy and a couple mention corpsman so I would presume the names are all Co A, 2nd Med. Best ABN The individuals I was able to find: William Kenneth Allred (1925-2007) USN Glenn Combes (1926-2002) USN Patrick Joseph Feeney (1921-2015) Pharmacist Mate First Class, 2nd Marine Division Lindon S. Maddox (1925-2005) USN Jerry Kenneth Quackenbush (1925-2013) "USN serving with Marines" Charles A. Werner (1926-2005) Pharmacist Mate USN Clarence Case Albert Wyler (1918-2005) Hospital Apprentice First Class USN
