Ostensibly its a 88th Aero Squadron pin.  Real ones are valuable.

 

The die for these still exists and there are many reproductions.  There are also cast copies.  Originals will retain full, crisp detail and will have specific hardware on the back.

 

The quickest way to tell the re-strikes is lack detail in the cowboy.  Its hard to tell for sure from your photo but from what I think I can see it the outlook doesn't look good.

 

To be certain, would need excellent, detailed photos of the front and back.

I figured someone else would have weighed in by now.  

 

Unfortunately, it appears that you have a reproduction on your hands.  The two main indictments are incorrect findings and lack of detail in the cowboy.
