Unusual camouflage USMC cover. In country made?

I found this at the flea market a couple of years ago and it just resurfaced in a forgotten box of stuff.

I am not familiar with the pattern. It is a large size, about a 7 1/2 or 60cm.

There is what looks to be thin fiber board sewn into the front and the thread appears to be thin nylon fishing line.

The eyelets are metal.

There are no markings except what looks to be an iron on EGA on the front, the eagles head is missing.

The brim is folded in the center I guess from being folded and put into a pocket?

Any information about this cover would be greatly appreciated.

I found some caps that look a lot like this one. They are ww2 pacific camouflage and they look a lot like this one

It’s still a pretty old piece I saw some from the 60s but yeah, some guy probably added the marine corp patch so it would look like a ww2 cap

I wish he hadn't.

I was not in the Marines so I would never wear the cover, out of respect for those who were.

Try as I might, it won't come off.
