FlyNavy02 Posted April 20, 2021 Share #1 Posted April 20, 2021 Found these full size leather first sergeant chevrons over the weekend. They are machine sewn and the white leather stripes were also painted off white, now flaking off in places. Does anyone have an example or seen a photograph of leather chevrons being worn? Thanks for looking.
patches Posted April 20, 2021 Share #2 Posted April 20, 2021 Interesting for sure, hmm one would like to think they were made to be worn on a Air Corps A2 jacket, or fleece, but that would have to be determined by photos. They also on close examination were once sewn on, we can make out the sew holes on the border.
Airborne-Hunter Posted April 23, 2021 Share #3 Posted April 23, 2021 These remind me of a 188th PIR I saw in leather once....never knew what to make of that one either...
FlyNavy02 Posted April 23, 2021 Author Share #4 Posted April 23, 2021 Thanks for the information and I think Airborne is a good possibility. Hopefully, a photo will surface to solve the mystery.
