Austin_Militaria Posted April 15, 2021 Share #1 Posted April 15, 2021 Picked up this great little grouping right from the estate liquidator. SF officer who served with the 8th Group in Panama and did 2 tours in Vietnam, the last being in 1971-72. The Panamanian Mola is a one of a kind for sure, and one the berets is kind of nice too.... 😁

USMarineCorps Posted May 14, 2021 Share #6 Posted May 14, 2021 This is one great group, thank you for sharing! The quilted beret liner and the Mola piece are especially cool. You did great.
gwb123 Posted May 14, 2021 Share #7 Posted May 14, 2021 Nice items, indeed. A lot of people are unfamiliar with Panamanian Mola embroidery. I've seen patches done in that style, but they always seem to big to wear on a uniform. Made more for a souvenir jacket.
Austin_Militaria Posted May 14, 2021 Author Share #8 Posted May 14, 2021 He was actually born and raised in Panama, in the US Canal Zone where he finished High School and then went to Florida for College. His first station was back in Panama after SF School.
