robinb Posted April 15, 2021 Share #2 Posted April 15, 2021 There wouldn't be a US above the maker mark on this particular knife.
sactroop Posted April 15, 2021 Share #3 Posted April 15, 2021 What you have is a WW2 period Camillus. There are a lot of threads to search here on many of the knives. For these labels like; kabar(several spellings),1219C2, fighting/utility knife, marine fighting knife, etc should help. Also many thread also have links to similar earlier threads. There is even at least one covering the difference between your knife and the reproductions of them that Camillus made starting in the 1990's. ttarp75 Posted April 15, 2021 Author Share #5 Posted April 15, 2021 Sorry I posted this first in the "fake or not" category and someone told me to post it in the "edged weapons" category. I dont know how to move from one place to another. Sorry, didn't mean to offend or be redundant. I appreciate all the info and comments thus far! It’s not offensive, I’m just not sure what information you are looking for, beyond what was provided in your original topic. You asked if it was authentic, or a “knock-off”, which was answered, and then some. Do you have more questions?
