Posted 13 hours ago #5 Posted 13 hours ago The serial number, 474629, puts production of the engine in the 1943-45 range (serial numbers roll over to 500K in 1946 and ran to 300K ending in 1942). The "D" suffix on the model AK indicates that the engine was equipped with a "stellite" exhaust valve (a high-performance alloy exhaust valve for extreme duty conditions).
