Extended M1 Carbine pouch - for 30 round mags?

Recommended Posts

This pouch came today. Seems it is extended with another one, but not sewn with a sewing machine, but by hand. Color is too green in the pics because of bad light. Marked S. Froehlich co. 1943. Have no 30 round mag, but a Denix model mag for the thompson will fit, too. Could someone tell me the dimensions of a 30 round mag?P1120247.JPG.6ce8a56d9d62108cb5dc6265a750f0fd.JPG

I've seen extended carbine mag pouches before, but so far none I've found have been modified like this!

Yes very interesting modification of an original type one "stock pouch".  I own and have seen plenty of 15rd magazine pockets that have been modified to hold 30rd magazines by adding material to extend the flap but nothing like this?  Appears as thou this may have been done by a previous civilian owner?  If you don't mind me asking where did you come across this pouch?
