MichaelSemann Posted April 10, 2021 Share #1 Posted April 10, 2021 I recently purchased a WW2 dated Vollrath M42 canteen/cup and Shane Mfg. Co. carrier, and attached was this M36 belt. It seems to be different from most WW2 U.S. types I've seen in that the buckle catch is round, not rectangular, and there is no pistol snap. Instead, both ends have the adjustable tab and hook attached. No markings, including the usual "US" either.. It is OD #7 in color. Could it be British or Canadian in manufacture?
