JasonT Posted April 5, 2021 Share #1 Posted April 5, 2021 I posted this on my 100th Division thread, but thought I would share it here as well - Here is a recent grouping I found in an online auction (my first non-Ebay one). I purchased it mainly for the pair of bullion patches since I didn't have ones of this type yet in my collection. The DUI's are also all German made (somewhat common for the 398th), except for one that is US sterling. However, when I got it delivered and opened it up at home I found that in the Boy Scout card, it had a name. Sure enough that name matched a vet from K Company, 398th Infantry Regiment - T/5 William A. Prucha. It also came with a bunch of Air Force-related and blood donor event stickers/decals from Grumman, so I believe Mr. Prucha most likely went to work for the company after the war. So far though I have not found out much of any info on him during my google searches, but will continue to search.
