"SKI" marked ww2 era shell nam set, possible odd LT bar on liner

i thought it looked pretty neat, got it coming in the mail today. i figured it could be initials or something, but had a buddy say he had seen a SKI marked helmet before. If anyone else has, or recognizes it as something else, i'd appreciate some info

hah, indeed its a strange dark contrast. i figure its most likely put together, but had a neat look nonetheless

Firestone 1962 dated P55 liner, 1969 dated cover, on a refurbished WW2 front seam shell with sewn on OD7 straps, could very well be legit.

The WO bar would have been worn vertically-

I am thinking he ended up with a Lt. Liner and then tried to make a Replacement School command patch.

Cool looking helmet, I like the added T1 hardware to the shell, I have a bunch of Vietnam sets and OD gloss repainted shell with added T1 hardware on the original sewn straps.

thanks, i always liked the earlier parts mixed in. this one kinda fills the hole of this one i sold like a year ago. i still kinda regret it
