This came in Wed at Michigan Military Heritage Museum. Named to Albert Sherwood of Wayne Michigan.    Scott

Great helmet, with the insignia and name you'll probably be able to find the soldier as a lot of the 89th's regimental histories have been uploaded online. This link might help you find more info on the soldier it has regimental history and a roster.
