Do you know where the sword originates from, like what city and/or state it was obtained?  Also, is it a fraternal sword vs. military and can you show a full length pic of it?  Below is the reason I ask.  Thank you.

There's a person named Roger Dean Pittelko who was a Reverend but I haven't found any military connection with this individual.  Roger was from El Reno, OK but he died in Elk Grove Village, Illinois.

Thank you for possibly solving the gothic script! The sword is a Model 1902 Army officer's type. I suppose the reverend could've gone to a military school, or belonged to a fraternal organization. The name etching looks factory-applied.  Ricasso is marked N.S. Meyer Inc. COLONIAL.

You're welcome.  However, the Reverend Roger Dean Pittelko was born 18 August 1932 so I don't think it would've been his based on the date of the sword.  I may still be correct on the last name though.

Never mind.

I had a thought, realized it was dumb, and couldn't delete the post.

Ah, got you.  I thought that's what it meant but wasn't sure.  Appreciate it.
